Enlightening and Fools Dreams are dreams that bring to us an awareness.

We store all kinds of information in our unconcious mund, and sometimes we think we have forgotten something, when suddenly our dreams bring it back to the concious mind. For example; You have  lost your favorite pen, days and days go by, you now have even forgot about losing the pen altogether. You go to  sleep and dream about flying in a toy plane around your yard, when right smack in the middle of the flight, you look down at the grill you cooked on two weeks ago......and there lays that pen.  By morning your thinking "Oh my god, I forgot that  I even lost it", and your dream told you where you left it.  Thats an Enlightening dream.


This type of dream is basically the discovery of somewhat useless information we have stored in our memory that we have been unable to remember conciously.  And ironically, this type of dream is rated first among  dreams that we forget upon waking.

Fools dreams, are dreams where we can do wild outlandish things.  We have super poweres in this type of dreaming. We can walk on water, ride bycicles through the air with the greatest of ease. Flying dreams also fall in to this category. (the"Dream Themes" link includes a page dedicated to flying dreams) Dreams where you can be super human are always easy to remember because they are so much fun.

A dream I had years ago on this topic, was so amazing that I'll never forget the feeling it gave me.  I was riding along in a car with the window down, just watching the world go by.  Then I saw this beautiful castle sitting on top of a mountain in the distance. I reached out the window, and all of a sudden, my arms could stretch to any length .  I reached my hand right up to the castle and picked it up and looked at it.  I could do this with any object I saw.  Still to this day when I'm riding along, noticing how things look small in the distance, I am reminded of this dream.
