Psychic and Prophetic dreams

Psychic and Prophetic dreams have a very different "feel" than other dreams. You know if you've had one! The question in this matter is: Can they be controlled?

Some psychics get all their preminitions from dreams.  Some say that they actually ask for an answer upon going to sleep. Then dream of the answer. Have you ever had a dream and then awoke, and then gone back to sleep to finish the dream?

Psychic and prophetic dreams are dreams that warn us of an impending event. It can be something simple, or a car accident, or an earthquake. Knowing upon wakeing that the dream was a  preminition, gives us an opportunity to change the future. A psychic dream.

Yet with some dreams this is not so, and the reason for having them is simply to prepare us for what is ahead. You may be able to prevent an accident, but if someone is ill....its to prepare you.  A prophetic dream.

In ancient times, it was believed that there were two dream gates. One made of ivory, and one made of sharp horns. If a dream passed through the one of ivory, it was believed to be a warning and could be acted upon. If the dream passed through the one of horns, it was a prophetic dream. It is believed that nothing can be done if the dream is prophetic, inevitable.

In addition to psychics, almost everyone has had a psychic dream at one time or another.  Many musicians often dream of their compositions and then wake to write them. One well known example of this is the composer Giuseppe Tartini. Tartini dreamed he sold his soul to the devil for a composition, and gave the devil his violin to see if he could play. "He played the most exquisite, enchanting, and breathtaking sonata", he said.  He then awoke and composed the piece. Tartini said it was the best he had ever written. The sonata is called "The Devil's Trill." Having listened to this piece myself, it is a quite  chilling sonata.  Tartini was 21.
